Most people agree that there is not enough for young people to do on the Waterside.

There are a lot of people and organisations who do lay on events and activities though. Part of the problem is that when something new starts, how do the organisers get to tell everyone about it?

Youthtxt provides the answer. Any teenager in the Waterside can join our service, simply by texting start to 07624 803 200. We will then include you on the list of those texted with details of all events and new activities in the Waterside as they are launched. If we need more characters to tell you about an event than the 160 in a text, we will give you a summary and the address of the page on this site that will give you full details.

What's the cost?

There's no cost! Youthtxt is a free service, brought about by Waterside Action agreeing cheap bulk price costs to send out the texts and then funded by Hampshire County Council through its Youth Opportunity Fund.

How do I stop?

Simply reply stop to any text we send you. Under EU anti-spamming rules, the texts have to stop.
